Dr Ben Lee graduated from Barts and the London School of Medicine in 2006 with scholarship by the British Army, to whom he was committed to providing Short Term Service (STS) of ten years. Following almost a decade of vocational training in Internal Medicine, he was elected to the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians MRCP(UK).
His career progressed into the highly competitive field of Dermatology where he specialized in skin allergies for children and adults. As a full-time clinical dermatologist, Dr Lee has been awarded an honorary role by the University of Surrey, where he gives lectures and sets assessments for the Faculty of Medical Science.
Dr Lee has been in Dermatology at the capacity of a Speciality Doctor/Associate Specialist (SAS) for 6 years now, beginning his Speciality training as a Dermatology Registrar in 2014. He was examined by the Royal College of Physician in UK and passed his Board Certification Exam (SCE) in Dermatology in 2018. He has been a qualified doctor for over 14 years! He currently takes the role of Clinical Lead for Skin Allergies at an NHS hospital, running Patch Testing for patients and taking difficulty cases from GPs and other hospital specialists in the field of severe Eczema and Psoriasis, many of whom would require Biologic Therapy.
Outside his regular job as a NHS Dermatologist, since 2016, Dr Lee has been studying a Postgraduate Master's degree in Skin Ageing & Aesthetic Medicine (MSc Award in 2018 with Merits, University of Manchester), taking his interest in Cosmetic Dermatology and anti-ageing therapies to a very advanced level. As a researcher of skin ageing, Dr Lee has had many articles published in highly regarded peer-reviewed journals. To this day, he is still proud of running his Patch Testing and Severe Eczema and Psoriasis Service at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey, as the Service Lead.
